It’s been a wonderful September and October in which we made and toured two new shows, both for Creative People and Places projects.

Thorney Beginnings, Marvellous Middles and Moorends toured across Thorne and Moorends as part of the Right Up Our Street programme, and we are hoping to take it further across the Doncaster area in the near future. Bolsover Bingo was part of the Bolsover Stories festival for First Art and was an absolute riot and a huge success.

And now we immerse ourselves in something very different. On Saturday November 21st we will be working with over fifty local people to present a city wide reading of B.S. Johnson’s The Unfortunates as part of the Being Human festival. We will publish details of the event shortly but it will take place in 26 different locations across the city and will be preceded by a screening of some of Johnson’s films at the Broadway cinema; a screening that will be introduced by the novelist Jonathan Coe.
