On Saturday 8th of November the Wellingborough Black Heritage Arts Trail was launched. This project was produced by Made With Many with support from The Black Heritage Walks Network and we were commissioned to create a series of audio stories which then, thanks to the amount of research we had done, became part of a full audio trail. This work sits within a wider trail with visual artwork by Georgina Payne and Alan Howard
This was an incredibly interesting project for the company, in which we learnt a huge amount through our many conversations with members of the African Caribbean community, six of whom read the stories (and narration) that we created, alongside music made with local musicians and community musical groups. In all over forty people were involved in the research and making of the work and we’re really pleased with how it all turned out.
