Riot Act was a collaboration with The Framework Knitters Museum in Ruddington, re-uniting us with David Longford the director of The Triumph of Reason!
Originally commissioned by the Nottingham Playhouse but never performed (falling between two artistic directors) the play was reworked for a script in hand performance over two nights in the chapel space at the museum. With a cast of ten, two musicians, and design work by students at De Montfort University, the performance explored a moment (and with a nod to the present) when emerging free market economic ideas were faced down by Nottingham hosiers.
