So that’s the year pretty much wrapped up. We’ve got a couple of meetings about next year’s programme, and we’re still hopeful of hearing about an AHRC funded project around some of the historic parks of Nottingham in the next day or two; but we won’t be doing any more performances until 2016.
It’s been a huge year for the company; the busiest and most interesting perhaps since 2005 when we created and ran The Festival of The Beck for New Perspectives.
So thanks to all of those that took part in or who came to see any of the five different performance projects we made this year. The Chilwell Munitions Tragedy; Thorney Beginnings, Marvellous Middles and Moorends; Bolsover Bingo; But I Know This City! and the first in what will be a series of five Winter Warmers for First Art, have been challenging, exhausting, great fun and hugely rewarding for all of those involved. And of course this month we were honoured to have a two page spread about one of these projects in The Spectator.
And alongside this programme we have invited some really interesting practitioners to run workshops with our associate team; and we hope to continue to find ways to work with Titia Bouwmeester, Stephanie Dale, and David Edgar over the next year or two. In fact we are currently planning a new project with Titia which we hope to be able to announce in January.
As usual we couldn’t have done this work without the energy and commitment of those who have joined us as performers. Apologies if we have missed anyone here but these are the folk that have taken part in our performances in 2015 (of course there were many more that contributed in other ways):

We’d also like to thank Jonathan Coe for being part of our film screening at the Broadway cinema and for doing this.
But finally we’d like to thank those who have joined our creative teams this year; a mixture of old hands and new faces and all of whom have put in a real shift: Julia Locascio, John Hewitt, Jess Kemp, Matt Marks, Adam McCready, Gareth Morgan, Dorrie Scott, Hannah Stone and Angela Warren.
So that’s that. 2016 looks equally exciting and we’ll keep you updated on what we’re up to. We’ll leave you with this – a soundpiece made by Adam McCready and our artistic director Andy Barrett as part of the Chilwell Munitions Tragedy project that culminated in an audience of around one thousand people filling the centre of Beeston on a gloriously sunny July weekend.
Cheers
