Get involved in our Colwick Woods project

We’ve now started our NHLF funded project in Colwick Woods and over the next eight months there will be a series of opportunities for people to get involved in this work – researching, exploring, reading, and recording.

Over June, July and August we will be holding a series of free training workshops in oral history techniques as well as organising trips to the Nottinghamshire Archives (which are housed in the city) and the archive collection at the University of Nottingham, to see what we can find in connection with Colwick Woods. If you’d like to join us on these trips, or wish to know more about the oral history workshop programme, can you please email andy@excavate.org.uk, putting COLWICK RESEARCH into the subject line.

If you want to have a look through the catalogues beforehand to see if there’s anything that takes your interest then you can do so at https://www.inspireculture.org.uk/…/explore-the…/ and https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/…/allcolle…/university.aspx

We also have a Facebook group for the project which you may want to join to keep up to date with opportunities.
