Our autumn schedule
So … here we are and it’s going to be a very busy Autumn indeed.
First up is our new show for Thorne and Moorends as part of Right Up Our Street. You can find out more about that project here.
And then as soon as that is over we will be putting the finishing touches to It’s Bingo … But It’s Bolsover Bingo! for the First Art project. We’ve already got a Town Crier, a Kick Boxing team, a local hairdresser and a butcher involved in what should be a chaotic and amusing weekend of performances over the weekend of October 16th and 17th.
Just over a month later we will be filling Nottingham with around seventy B.S. Johnsons for our But I Know This City! project as part of the Being Human festival.
And whilst all of this is going on we are researching a project for next year, in partnership with the Hidden Histories team, that investigates the lives of those who have claimed refugee status and have settled in Nottingham, and which also explores the historical impetus and moment when this status was created by the League of Nations after the First World War. And of course this feels like a very important subject to be examining right now.
