After a first three months of the year which saw us premiere In Flux, hold a wonderful evening in Legsby for family members of the conscientious objectors communities of Holton cum Beckering and Bleasby Grange, become attached artists at the National Theatre studio and attend the ICAF festival (a typically lively evening is pictured above), our programme of work for the rest of 2017 is taking shape.

In Flux will continue to tour, with performances at the Nottingham Playhouse, the Nottingham Theatre Royal, and the Wolverhampton Artsfest already confirmed. We have also started work on our Barbeque 67 Revisited project in partnership with Transported and the South Holland Centre and will premiere a new show there on June 8th. The summer will see us begin a fascinating new project in Aspley working with residents of Minver Crescent, and also start work on a new commission for the Right Up Our Street project which will result in a touring show in the autumn. October will see a performance of Alice In Her Shoes, a community project based on the Leicester suffragette Alice Hawkins that we are helping Elaine Pantling with, take place on the city streets before culminating at the Leicester Curve.

We are soon to have another meeting at the National Theatre to work out exactly how our Conscientious Objectors community project will unfold, will be starting work on a new community project in Oakham for 2018, and over the next months we’ll know if we will be creating a rather spectacular performance for the Bennerley Viaduct next Spring.

And we’ll also be finding time to develop our relationship with theatre makers in Kosovo.

Other projects are bound to crop up over the next few months but we’re looking forward to all of the above and in putting some of what we learnt from ICAF into practice.
