The Oakham Canal Audio Walk
This audio walk, recorded with twenty community performers from Rutland, tells the story of one of the most important and interesting moments in the history of the town – the rise and fall of the Oakham canal.
You will be accompanied on this five-mile walk, through the town and along the towpaths, by characters from across the ages who will bring you right into the heart of the story, as well as exploring the diverse environment and wildlife that the Oakham Canal Green Corridor Project is working to improve.
The audio and map for the walk can be downloaded or streamed from this website and the audio is also available on spotify.
