Our next performance is coming up …
On Saturday May 14th and Sunday May 15th, in a dozen different venues across town – both inside and out – the story of the zeppelin raid on Loughborough of 1916 will be told by around ninety community performers.
Devised and written by Excavate and produced by Charnwood Arts, Loughborough College and Chorus Theatre, this show takes the form of fifteen different scenes which can be seen in any order before the finale in All Saints Parish Church. As an audience member you can navigate your way through the performance from open air spaces such as Queen’s Park and the Market Place to pubs, restaurants and museums.
With around one hundred separate performances taking place over the weekend, involving performers of all ages, as well as singers and musicians, this is a highly ambitious and unique project which we hope will allow hundreds of people to encounter a key moment in the history of the town.
For up to the minute information on the project and the performances please see the project Facebook page.
